Exercise 1: Phone messages

Instructions

1. Check in your dictionary the meaning of these words: front door, kitchen table, feed, walk, inside, outside, pick up, get in, arrive, help out, check, mail.

CONTENIDOS DEL CURSO

El Programa de Inglés para Jóvenes – PIJ del Centro de Extensión ofrece 9 niveles de 64 horas semestrales a estudiantes que tienen entre 10 y 14 años o que cursan entre 5º y 9º grado escolar y que provienen de diferentes lugares del área metropolitana de Medellín. El programa ofrece a los estudiantes el desarrollo de habilidades que le permitan desenvolverse en situaciones comunicativas donde se habla inglés como lengua extranjera. El Programa se empezó a ofertar en la Sede Occidente de la Universidad de Antioquia desde el segundo semestre de 2009.

LEVEL’S THEME: WHO ARE YOU?

OBJETIVO: Al finalizar el nivel 1 el estudiante estará en capacidad de reconocer la importancia de aprender inglés en nuestro contexto y utilizar el inglés como una herramienta que le permite comunicar ideas sobre quién es, lo que hace, su historia, sus preferencias y lo que planea hacer en el futuro.

TEMA: EL INGLÉS EN EL MUNDO

OBJETIVO: Reflexionar sobre la importancia del aprendizaje del inglés como lengua extranjera.
